Auschwitz Museum
Auschwitz has become a primary symbol of the Holocaust. It was a network of concentration and extermination camps built and operated by the Third Reich in Polish areas annexed by Nazi Germany during World War II. It is proof of cruel terror and unimaginable genocide.
The museum was founded in 1947 and comprises approximately 150 buildings and 300 ruins. The original roads, fences, watchtowers and railway ramps have been preserved.
Salt Mine Wieliczka
The Wieliczka Salt Mine was one of the first among 12 sites from all around the world to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most frequently visited tourist sites in the world. The tourist route starts 64 m deep and ends 135 m below the earth surface, where the world’s biggest museum of mining is located with the unique centuries-old equipment among its exhibits.

Auschwitz Museum
Auschwitz-Birkenau was the largest of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camps. Auschwitz has become a primary symbol of the Holocaust.
Located in German-occupied southern Poland, it took its name from the nearby town of Oświęcim (Auschwitz in German), situated about 50 kilometres west of Krakow.
There were also around 40 satellite camps, with prisoner populations ranging from several dozens to several thousand.
